Cham Yu
Cham Yu is the Director of Rebuild the Bay. Growing up in Hong Kong, Cham began advocating for urban development issues in the Bay Area after he moved to California in 2020. As the Director of Rebuild the Bay, Cham oversees the organization’s operations in advocacy, lobbying, and communication with overseas implementation partners. Cham attended the ECOSOC Youth Forum in March 2025 on behalf of Rebuild the Bay, and works with Deputy Directors to manage existing projects and craft new opportunities to further an equitable America with affordable mixed-use and transit-oriented communities, nationwide.

Gautham Ramkumar
Gautham Ramkumar is a Deputy Director in Rebuild the Bay. As a Co-founder of the organization, Gautham is driven to make urban development a priority in congress and in local Bay Area politics through dialogue with your representatives and stakeholders. Gautham manages Rebuild the Bay’s lobbying for the GREATER Revitalization of Shopping Centers Act of 2025, which would incentivize affordable housing nationally. Outside of his advocacy work, Gautham enjoys backpacking, walking his dog Suki, and studying/researching biology

Matt Pronovost
Matt Pronovost is the Deputy Director of Rebuild the Bay. He is passionate about creating more useful and sustainable urban spaces for all communities. He is currently working on the proposal of a federal policy bill that would increase the amount of affordable housing across the nation. Outside of this, Matt enjoys skiing and reading.

Sihan Zhang
Sihan Zhang is a Deputy Director in Rebuild the Bay. A passionate advocate for human-centered urban development in cities both in America and worldwide, Sihan manages Rebuild the Bay’s work with multiple NGOs across the Global South to research solutions for local urban problems. He is also an oboe player, language learner, and avid novice cook.
